This 10-acre estate has sat in a dilapidated state in an exclusive housing area of Hartlepool for several years. As a once historic site, the estate required a sensitive and knowledgeable approach for its redevelopment to both ensure commercial viability and to preserve its beauty.
Working closely with the local authority, Chris oversaw a team to comprehensively masterplan the site and secured planning approval for a residential scheme, converting the accommodation into apartments and adding executive housing in the grounds. While the development scope was restricted and various covenants needed to be adhered to, planning permission was successfully attained by Chris’ team before being sold on to a developer.
