This two-acre site in historic Wynyard Village was formerly home to a school on land formerly part of the estate of the Marquesses of Londonderry, owners until the 1980s of Wynyard Hall.
Derelict for some time, Chris successfully agreed a deal with a major housing developer to replace the school with several new properties, high quality in style and build that took close account of its sensitive location at the heart of the community.
Securing planning consent was only part of the story, with Chris’ team needing to overcome tight planning regulation. The result was a well-designed scheme that perfectly complemented its village setting from the style of materials used and landscaping to the prominence of development.
