Used extensively by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) during the Second World War to salvage and recycle crashed aircraft, this 114 acre site was sold by the MOD in the 1990s and has since been used as a logistics centre and bonded warehousing with approximately 500,000 sq. ft on industrial and office facilities.
After its last owners JG Land & Estates went into administration in 2009, Chris formed the first joint venture with NAMA (Anglo Irish Bank who foreclosed on the asset) on their debt assets and successfully built up a diverse rent roll of occupiers to fund extensive site maintenance costs.
Chris also worked to expand the bonded warehouse designation on several of the properties, and secured planning permission for 850 homes on the site, making it a key regeneration site for the region. Anglo Irish subsequently sold a huge part of the development portfolio, including this site for development with Chris securing a return.
